Branded t-shirts for World Run global fundraiser

The Customer

Not-for-profit foundation Wings for Life was established by the two-time motocross world champion Heinz Kinigadner and the Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz in 2004. Its goal is to find a cure for spinal cord injuries and paraplegia.

The Brief

Wings of Life Events Manager Alexandra Trown was recommended to Firefly Merchandise by a mutual contact. She wished to produce participant t-shirts for their Wings of Life World Run event. The eighth edition of the global charity run, they were looking for quality, fully branded tops with the event logo on the front chest and inside the neck collar.

Initially, the brief was to source the ‘right’ garment at the ‘right’ price within the timeframe.

Our Solution

Cue, an eye-opening discovery for Alexandra as we introduced her to the vast array of clothing options made with recycled, sustainable and organic materials. We provided design mock-ups, samples and detailed quotes, all in planet-friendly options. Wings of Life immediately saw the sustainable benefits and selected a beautiful 100% recycled polyester garment. The material not only looks great, is environmentally friendly but is also very comfortable for the runners. Fast forward a few weeks, and the final garment was selected. A pre-production sample was produced for sign-off before the entire 1,150 print run went ahead, allowing Alexandra to witness the print quality and approve the final specification.

Delivery was made one month before the event providing plenty of time to despatch to all participants.
